Cambio de Colores in Southwest Missouri: A Workshop for Healthier
Communities
Crowder College, Neosho, Missouri - September 29, 2006
Over 50 people have registered so far for this one-day event
organized by the Cambio Center, in cooperation
with Crowder College, MU Extension, and Missouri State
University. This Workshop will address issues of health care,
integration of youth, and employment verification. Please
find updated details at the Workshop's website. Fellows Jim Wirth and Anne Dannerbeck will be two of the
presenters.
Of interest at MU:
Undergraduate Mentoring in Environmental Biology Program (UMEB)
New scholarship program in Environmental Studies/Environmental
Biology. Program funded by the National Science Foundation, will
provide 8 14 month scholarships yearly for 4 years to MU students
interested in getting research experience and career training in
environmental studies/conservation or related fields. Scholarships
are not limited to Science Majors---it's an interdisciplinary
program that seeks to attract promising students with diverse
interests into possible environmental career tracks.
