Lisa Dorner, Ph.D.

Lisa M. Dorner, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. Her work for the Cambio Center started in 2010 when she became a Cambio Fellow after discovering her favorite academic conference, the annual Cambio de Colores. Her research interests are around bilingual education, educational policy enactment, and immigrant childhoods.
Juan José Reyes Valladares
Coordinator, Cambio Center
Originally from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Central America, Juan José Reyes or “JJ” is a doctoral student in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. With over 15 years of experience teaching K-20 in Honduras and the U.S., his research interest is on college access for Latine students, particularly those transferring from community colleges to four-year universities.

Yesenia Moreno
Student Researcher, Cambio Center
Yesenia, originally from Illinois, is a first-generation student majoring in psychology on the pre-med track. She has an interest in psychiatry and is looking forward to doing undergraduate research at the Cambio Center!
Jada Mulholland
Student Assistant, Cambio Center
Jada is from St. Louis, Missouri and is studying Political Science with a minor in Black Studies. At the Cambio Center, she is excited to continue contributing to the center’s mission through managing and enhancing its social media presence.
Marena Nunez Cruz
Student Researcher, Cambio Center
Marena is pursuing a degree in Middle School Social Studies education with a minor in Hospitality Management. She looks forward to collaborating and working with new people at the Cambio Center.
Sophie Rentschler

Sophie is a junior journalism and physics major. She is also pursuing a Spanish minor.
Amalia Meyer
High School Intern, Cambio Center
Amalia is a senior at Metro High School in Saint Louis. With an interest in research and journalism, she looks forward to contributing to the Cambio Center and gaining some new experiences.
