“Change of Colors” Annual Conference

Directed by our mission to share research and best practices, the Cambio Center is proud to have created the annual Cambio de Colores-Change of Colors Conference as the center’s main outreach activity. This conference brings together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, students and community members to exchange their experiences and research findings. Having gathered together since 2002, we have developed an impressive, interdisciplinary network of experts on migration and changing communities, especially in the Midwest.

Each year, the conference proceedings are published to provide an ongoing resource to communities about promising practices and research on Latine and immigrant settlement, integration, belonging, and community change. The proceedings are searchable in the Cambio Center Digital Library.

The conference also offers networking opportunities throughout the community, with site visits to local immigrant and refugee serving institutions. In addition, there are learning opportunities specifically for students, including a featured poster session and awards to the poster that receives the highest votes from conference participants!
