Lisa Dorner, Ph.D.

Lisa M. Dorner, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. Her work for the Cambio Center started in 2010 when she became a Cambio Fellow after discovering her favorite academic conference, the annual Cambio de Colores. Her research interests are around bilingual education, educational policy enactment, and immigrant childhoods.
Sophia Piral Lee
Postdoctoral Fellow & Coordinator, Cambio Center
Sophia Piral Lee, Ph. D., has her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. She is passionate about community-based research and qualitative research methodologies that are entertaining, mindful, and joyful, promoting healing in community through research.

Lauryn is a freshman from Kansas City, Missouri studying History with a minor in French. She is excited to help support the Cambio Center’s mission through work on research projects and community events.
Vivi Deken
Research Student Fellow, Cambio Center
Vivi is a Biological Sciences major interested in pursuing Spanish as a minor. She is excited to join and to be able to support the Cambio Center in research-related events!
Kaia Mawhinney
Student Assistant, Cambio Center
Kaia is a freshman from Columbia, Missouri and is dual majoring in History and Physics. At the Cambio Center she is excited to help conduct research and contribute to the Center’s goals.
