Missouri Humanities Council Grant Expands Cambio de Colores Conference
March 31, 2025 $25,000 grant supports the addition of conference’s first-ever storytelling festival. Resources for our Times
February 7, 2025 For decades, Cambio Fellows have done research on the experiences of and responses to demographic change. A recent summary of the literature by Dr. Emily Crawford-Rossi on what educators can do when there are changes to policies that impact schools can be helpful for any social service agency. In addition, one of our regional community partners, the MICA Project for Migrant and Community Action, has put together a Standing Together guide that can help newcomers and allies understand their rights. For here at the university, MU International Student and Scholar Services…

Gracias, from the Director

Cambio’s research has shown how newcomers contribute their assets, culture, ideas, and love to create thriving communities. And various organizations and projects work alongside them. You can support this by: Please…

Study investigates international student experience at MU
September 11, 2024 By Sophie Rentschler “Beyond the Borders of Belongingness: A Study of International Students at MU” was a qualitative research study conducted by Hannah Gates, a undergraduate student at MU, completed in partnership with Cambio Center Director, Dr. Lisa Dorner, as part of the Honors College research program. Gates pushed her research beyond the forefront, investigating what may influence international students’ sense of belonging at MU. Gates’ “why” behind this study was to encourage the creation of initiatives to promote one’s well-being and feelings of belonging on campus. The voices behind this study are…
