Dual Language Leadership
February 13, 2026 This February kicks off a new Midwest Dual Language Leadership Fellowship, a 4-month leadership and learning experience designed to deepen dual language educators’ and leaders’ impact as change agents specifically within the Midwest region. October 7, 2025 The Cambio Center is pleased to partner with the International Center for the Development of Education (CIIDE) for the 3rd Annual Symposium on Interdisciplinary Research on Latin American Studies: Tuesday, October 14th, 1-4 pm, in Townsend Hall 223 or via Zoom. Storytelling Awards and Events
September 11, 2025 The Cambio Center is excited to share that we have granted eight incredible awards to keep the Cambio Storytelling Festival alive throughout the year! One of them is for a special storytelling event called Raices y Recuerdos, which was awarded to a community-based Latina moms-led support group. Another, called Alomi pa pa pa – Tales by Moonlight Across Oceans, centers on the oral storytelling traditions of the Igala people, a vibrant Nigerian ethnic group whose diaspora thrives in Missouri, particularly in Columbia. Missouri Humanities Council Grant Expands Cambio de Colores Conference
March 31, 2025 $25,000 grant supports the addition of conference’s first-ever storytelling festival. The Missouri Humanities Council (MHC) has awarded a grant of $25,000 to the Cambio Center in support of the project titled “Migration and Missouri: Sharing Stories to Connect to Each Other and Our Ever-Changing Communities.” The MHC is the only statewide agency in Missouri devoted exclusively to humanities education for citizens of all ages. It has served as a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities since 1971. “Migration and Missouri” is part of the Missouri Humanities Semiquincentennial Grant program, which focuses on telling the…
